Secondary life
There are multiple extra-curricular activities and opportunities to be involved in during the year. Below are some examples:
Annual Show
One of the focal points for the year is the KISC annual show. There is such great acting talent on display, and we are so grateful to the entire KISC community who invest so much time and energy in making these shows such a huge success. Last year’s show was ‘The Sound of Music – Youth Edition’. There are not enough superlatives to describe how good it was, but it might not out be out of place on Broadway or in the West End!!
Student Council
A student member body comprising all grades within Secondary to further students’ lives and experiences. It puts on many events that help connect with the wider KISC community, such as ‘Spirit Week’, ‘March Madness’, movie nights and socials.
Green Team
We are passionate about caring for the environment at KISC. The Green Team aims to develop and implement initiatives both for the environment and the community as a whole. It is responsible, among other things, for promoting messages on recycling, improving waste management, and reducing energy consumption.
Orchestra & Choir
The musical output of such a small school is phenomenal. Students have the opportunity to be involved in the Christmas and Spring concerts. The inter-house music competition is an annual highlight, each house going all out with music, dance, and drama to win the coveted trophy; the 2024 winners were Annapurna!
Electives
The KISC elective programme runs throughout the year on Friday afternoons for Grades 6 to 12. Students choose one elective each term. The purpose of this programme is to:
Provide students with an opportunity to pursue and enjoy various activities that will develop their God-given talents, gifts, and skills
Develop relationships between students of all years and foster a sense of community
Provide an opportunity for teachers to build relationships with students in a more informal context than is normally possible
Students enjoy many and varied activities such as:
