Health & well-being
At KISC, we value the health and well-being of our students and staff, and thus we have our school doctor present at school every school day, providing excellent health services to the students with minor ailments and injuries. We also provide health education to students, staff, and parents including first aid and emergency care.
seasonal illnesses
Please be aware that there is an increased incidence of all airborne viral illnesses at this time of year. We are therefore stepping up general precautions at school to control the spread of such illnesses – regular disinfection of all surfaces, ensuring good ventilation in classrooms and encouraging hand washing and sanitizing among our staff and students.
If your child is unwell (with a fever, headache, throat ache, stomachache, vomiting or diarrhea) please ensure that she/he is symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication before sending them to school. Please do not send your child to school if she/he has been unwell the previous night. This helps greatly in controlling the spread of illness within the school community and keeps our staff and students healthy and well. This also protects those members of our community who are at a higher risk of becoming seriously unwell due to such illnesses.
Covid-related illness
Please follow KISC’s Covid Protocol (Updated Covid Decision Tree and Updated Close Contact Decision Tree) if your child tests positive for Covid or has been in close contact with someone who tests positive for Covid.
Other Illness
If your child is unwell (with a fever, headache, throat ache, stomachache, vomiting or diarrhoea) please ensure that she/he is symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication before sending them to school. Please do not send your child to school if she/he has been unwell the previous night. This helps greatly in controlling the spread of seasonal viral infections within the school community and keeps our students and staff healthy and well.
